Correct and best way to install a Sims2 Lot Package with Clean Installer

If you haven't already got it, download and install Mootilda's Clean Installer from Mod The Sims.

After installing the Clean Installer, any lot files you then download will carry the CI symbol:

Let's get started :)

Before installing a lot with CC, create a new folder in your downloads folder for the CC. I usually name this folder with the name of the lot.

To install a lot click on it's associated CI symbol. When you open it, it will look like this:



The top file in the list is the lot, the rest is custom content

Untick the lot file and click install.



In the next window untick both boxes (as shown below) and in second dropdown box, choose package.
In top dropdown box choose browse and navigate to the new folder you created, click ok, install, then ok again in small popup





Keep Clean Installer open. Now click on house symbol at top to select lot file only and click install, ok and ok again



Your lot should now have sucessfully installed, with all the CC in it's own folder!
